Week 1 Check-In Survey: Political/Ethical Positions

This survey will prompt you to think through an array of questions about environmental problems and solutions.  Your answers will not be graded.  Submission of the survey will allow us to take attendance at the beginning of our first lecture meeting.  Answering the questions will also advance your thinking about your own political and ethical perspectives -- which we hope will continue to develop as the quarter progresses.   Instructors in the course will not tell you what to think; we will help you work through complicated case studies and teach you concepts that you can use to build your own perspective.  We will try to convey how thinking like an anthropologist is useful in many different fields of work and contexts.
